Planner's Comments As my first attempt at planning I enjoyed many hours in the woods with the wildlife but just occasionally whole classes of pupils from the schools on the campus broke the silence. I enjoyed good autumn weather. What a pity that on the day you all had to endure the wet and slippery woods. I am sure you have had and will have better days for competition, but I am told it was better than for the Karrimor the previous weekend!

Thanks particularly to Jad my controller and Hilary Palmer my other steadying hand. Would I plan again? Yes!

Controller's Comments Having a planner like Bob makes life very easy, even though it was his first time, I virtually had no corrections to make to his courses. He did let slip that he may have shown the white and yellow to one of our more experienced coaches first. I became a little worried it was progressing when we went out to check some of the tagged sites (it is always difficult looking for grey tags on a branch in the rain) and he asked if it was my first time controlling - I thought I had been doing reasonably well until that point.

It is also easy when you have an experienced organiser like Paul, I left him to it. Paul very kindly leapt into the breach with less than 4 weeks to go otherwise there would not have been an event. Please volunteer to help.

I must also apologise about the number of map corrections I had just finished the map two years ago and had it back from the printers, when the computer block was rammed by thieves / joyriders and the car set on fire, which resulted in the security fence being built. I will be revising it shortly.
